About me
I'm Judith Gahigiro Sarriguren, a young fashion designer who studied Design at the University of Navarra.
I was born in Pamplona (Spain) and lived in Tennessee (USA) for 6 years since I was 1 year old and then I came back to Pamplona.
In 2018, I started the bilingual (Spanish and English) Degree in Design with a Mention in Fashion at the University of Navarra.
In 2021, I did my internship in a small workshop in Pamplona called Matsu Studio, where I had the great fortune to participate in Haute Couture collections, to design and to tailor the orders of the clients and to assist in organizing the fashion show.
In my last year of my degree, I started researching on innovative textiles and fabric manipulation, so that my TFG focused on the analysis of the application of vegan leathers. Specifically, the "Malai" coconut leather, where I made a comparison with animal leather from its technical study to its application in a clothing collection.
Since that moment, I am more and more interested in fabric manipulation and research of innovative textiles in the fashion industry.
When I finished my degree, I started working as an assistant designer in Matsu Studio where I helped develop the design, from start to finish, of a dress for an actress for "Los Goya Gala".
Currently, I am taking some courses to learn more about this industry and I am interested in working to gain more experience and knowledge.
I consider myself a hard worker, responsible and eager to learn.
